Hi my friend buyd a computer from a guy and in that computer there is no windows i guess when ever i start the computer It says Disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter any help plz

It can be due to many reasons.... #1) There is a bad/wrong floppy in your Floppy drive. #2) Your hard drive is blank/or has gone bad. #3) Wrong BIOS options. So first of all..you have to go to SETUP options(BIOS)....by tappin F1 or F2 or Del while you comp is rebooting. once in SETUP / BIOS....select "LOAD DEFAULT OPTIONS" or "LOAD OPTIMIZED OPTIONS" n then save and exit. then make sure there is no floppy in the floppy drive when you restart. If all this fails...then the chanced are that you have a black hard drive....in that case you need to CREATE a boot disc...to do that you need a computer which has windows already installed OR a bootable CD. To create a BOOT DISC in Windows 98....put a blank floppy in the floppy drive....then go to Control panel...add /remove program.... click on boot disc tab.....n then click on CREATE button.... TADA !!! now you can use this disc to turn ur comp on and install Windows on the hard drive !

well i tryd pressing del and wentin to the Bios after that its still the same thing the hDD is empty i kno that and on my computer i gor win XP only and i creat the boot disk and tryd it says some thing like invalud disc........... when can i do do i really need win 98 boot disk or i can do some thing elce ( i have windows ME CD and windows XP Home and prof cds )
