Disabling TCP/IP

Hiya all, I have an educational environment where I don't want users to install TCP/IP and arbitrarily assign some static IP's which might collide with pre assigned ones on staff PC's. Is there a way I can disable the Add protocol button under Network settings in Control Panel. I have tried installing DeepFreeze but IP starts working even without restart. The users bring in their own Win98 CD and insert them when prompted.

u could copy the CPL file assosciated with the TCI/IP whihc is the network cpl to some other folder like windows from the system folder. U could probably write a batch file to move it back and forth else move the file in the user profile to the windows folder else a folder of your choice. and run a batch command in your profile on startup to move it back. That should stop them.
