I am currently running a pc133 motherboard(m756t+) with amibios. I recently purchased a gforce2 mx200 video card which I tried to install. (PCI card) upon inserting the card and turning the computer on the only thing that comes up is a black screen. The monitor is plug into the PCI card. I have tried to disable the onboard video with no luck. There is a section in the bios under plug in playh which allows me to set the memory for the onboard card and one of the options is disable. This makes no diference. I've tried to delete the display drivers but this also makes no diference. There are no jumpers to disable onboard VGa. Is there anything else I can try or am I out of luck? Is it possible the Video card is bad?

What you need to do is look for a setting called Primary Vid Display or similar. It is probably set to AGP for your onboard video, change this to PCI to use your GF.

Primary Graphics Adapter This item indicates if the primary graphics adapter uses the PCI or the AGP bus. The default PCI setting still lets the onboard display work and allows the use of a second display card installed in a PCI slot.
