anyone know how to disable the live news update icon in the tray by the clock in win98. if I right click on it, it just gives option to exit or update. I click exit and all it does is exit. next time I startup it is there. I can't find it in msconfig - startup or anywhere. I think it is either for real player 7 or something with sblive. I'm not for sure. Anyone know. It looks like a globe.
sb live does that i ran msconfig and unchecked creative launcher from the startup list. start-run-type in msconfig hit ok click startup tab uncheck creative launcher click apply, then ok next time you boot up it will bw gone.
thats be gone:) then to use it when you want it, start-programs-creative-creative launcher

BW, thanks for letting me know it was for sblive. I like having the laucher at the top of my screen because I play a lot of games and use the different environment settings. I looked in the help file for sblive, and you just click on live task, then click on the arrow next to the light bulb and uncheck the live news update, and it disables that on the tray by the clock. You saved me a lot of time in figuring this out so thanks very much to you! have a good day/night.
