I need help because I accidentally installed DirectX6 and doesn't compute with any of my games! Is there Any way I can re-download DirectX5 and override DX6?

Games are offered free to download, a couple of levels....and then you make finding directx5 so hard to find.....where is it ? I've tried for two days to locate the site where's it's supposed to be.
