Directx drivers

Hi, I'm having problems with my S3Virge video card, it won't run any game that uses Directx!!!!!!!, the screen will turn all white and the worst of all is that I can hear the sounds of the game and it's liek if I'm playing but the screen is all white, it only does tat with Directx, where can I find a driver or anything to solve that problem??. Thanks! I'll appreciate your answers...

I have a S3 Virge/DX and I have noticed that the screen become white only when I play games in 3DFX mode (Tomb Raider, MK4). These S3 boards really sux!

I have pulled out my hair trying to get Mob Rul installed on my PC. However, I have exhausted all resources. I have tried inst. every driver(vid card and directx). Any sugg?

Try downloading new direct x driver 7.0a I belive it is they found some problems in 7

Directx drivers are incompatibles with s3virge, in 6.1 versions and above, I donīt have notice of any solution sorry. if you discover one, please, mail me.

Your best shot at finding previous versions of direct x (like version 6) is to buy an older game from 1998 or 1999 where direct x was included as part of the install. Removing direct x7a is risky and difficult. You should pursue all other solutions first.

Summary: I have a trident 3dimage 985 video accelerator card and it is not working with the current driver I have for directx. It is running with sgiul98.drv and it won't do acceleration...if anyone knows what...
