Direct X 8.1 problems

when I run Dxdiag aafter installing Dirext X 8.1 I find that one file 'iac25_32.ax' is still a beta file and is unsupported? Can anyone please help me fix this up?

I am running directx8.1 and the version of the one on my system is 2.05.50 dated 23/04/1999 and have no idea why yours would be a beta version.
the full version number of the one I am using is: 8.1(4.08.01.0881) if this helps

I am having this same problem. it is the same version .0881 and it says that it is a beta version. i feel this is the cause of my freeze up in game plays.
I had the same problem but it's not direct X that causes the problem in my case it was my intel webcam software(also with some game software) to repair it I extracted the file from my windows cabs with winzip restarted in safe mode and copy and pasted the file to windows/system. I also noted that there is 5 other files that were older than windows so I did them as well and all is well

I have DirectX 8.1 (4.0801.0881) and I also have the beta version of the file iac25_32.ax. Maybe someone could email the file to me if it isn't too big???? I cannot go into safemode though for some reason. The option is just not available even since I redid my system. :( Even technicians can't figure out why. I have Windows 98 2nd ed. I need DirectX 8.1 for a game. I can't run it. I don't know if it's because of the file iac25_32.ax but I need it. I only have the beta. Thanks.
