Using Direct OCR of Omnipage 8 under Microsoft word to proceed with text recognition was fine, without any problems.
Recently I upgraded to Omnipage Pro 10.
It has many other great features that the version 8 does'nt have.
But everytime I use it under Word as said above I got a message that I have to close the application and try again. It does'nt work at all.
Can anybody help me to resolve this problem? I really like the version 10, it can read out the recognised text either.
Thanks!

I have this program on my computer. I think I know what you are trying to say, but I could be wrong, but here goes anyways. When I apply OCR to a document, then try to export that document to Word, there are two options to save it to Word as (I can't remember what both of them are, I am on a different computer right now). However, I do remember that saving it as the one option will produce the error message you mentioned. It will only work if I save it to Word using the other option (I believe Word 97). Again, not sure if this is what you were asking, but hope that it helps you out. If not, let me know, and I can trial and error with it later for you.

Thanks a lot about your replying.
I didn't make explicit to you, very sorry.
I mean after installing Omnipage it will appear in the end of "File Option Bar" of Word 97 an option of "acquiring text" (and, of course, to proceed with the OCR).
The error is on that function.
I can use Omnipage itself wihtout great problems. Even saving in Word format the Word program will pop up automatically.
Thank you very much.

I know what you are talking about now. I tried it, and get the same error as you are getting! But, I never use this feature from Word, I usually work right in Omnipage itself without any problems. Sorry to be of no help in the long run.
