I have a Diamond Stealth 3D 2000. I have installed Win98, and Win 98 detects this as an S3 Virge. I have looked on Diamonds homepage for any information on problems with Win98, and I could not find anything. I have already downloaded the latest drivers for Win95, and I still get a blank screen when I change the adaptor type. I'm currently using VGA mode just to get around. Does anyone have any suggestions?..I would hate to ditch my video card.

I have a FIC 503 MB with 64 MB, Diamond 20003D, Adaptec 2940 connected to a tape drive and CD-RW. Windows 9X on internal IDE drives. All worked well with Windows 95. Upgraded to Win 98 and the Adaptec HBA will not function. When I look at the resources through ControlPanel/System the Adaptec is reported as not functioning or not present. I have tried to find drivers for the Diamond but the latest I can find are 1997 and I have them. I have another system that is identical except it has a different Video adapter and it functions properly. I have reinstalled Win 95 and verified all works. I even installed NT 4 Wrkstn and it worked properly. Then I reinstalled Windows 98 and the the problem was there. The video card is identified as an S3 Virge. Is there a driver that works properly with Windows 98 and where is it obtainable?
Thanks!

Just spoke to tech support at Diamond and this is what they are recommeding for this product it shows up on your system as:
S3 Virge PCI 325

I've tried it and it works well and does not lock up in heavy duty graphics programs like ACAD. I added the web address because it's not very easy to locate it on the diamond web site. Good Luck
