I'm sure the answer is simple but I can't find it:- How can I tell which version of Dial-Up Networking I have installed? OS is W98. I want to get the latest version but maybe I already have it.

Unless you, yourself installed Ver. 1.3, you proably have an earlier version. A quick way to check is to open Network in Control panel and see if:
"Dail-Up Adapter #2 (VPN support)"
is listed. If so, you have the latest version, if not, get the upgrade to Dail-up Networking 1.3 here:
