I have an IBM R30 22U. I have restored the laptop and loaded all drivers provided by IBM. My dialup networking will not work, but my phone dialer does. Thus, AOL will dial and work just fine, but NetZero (uses dialup networking) will not dial. When trying to dial with Hyperterminal, I just get a message saying to insert modem. I had this problem before I restored the laptop, but still have it. I have removed dialup networking, all adapters and there TCP/IP counterparts. Then rebooted, reinstalled dialup networking, rebooted and still have the same problem. I have removed the modem several times too. Any suggestions.

I have never really used Hypertermminal, I've always made all the configurations in the remote connection (I believe that is the english word, I use Swedish Win). And the only problem I've had was when I re-installed modem after the connection was configured. Then the connection would not find the modem, so I went to the remote connection, clicked properties, configure modem or something like it. After that it worked again.
