determine Processor Speed

OS: Windows 95B
CPU/Ram: 486DX/8mb

I have windows 95 on a 486 computer now i turn on my computer and it say G486P- DX/SX kind of motherboard. I think it is a dx because it has a math co-processor someone siad this is the difference between and dx and a sx. How can I tell the type and speed of my processor. I also have 8.0 megs of RAM.

Belarc will tell you the speed of your processor and much more about your pc.

If you use Belarc then save the output in .html format for later use.

If you prefer a program that does not require any installation then go with CPU-Z. It tells a lot too and specifically your processor info.

For the future, give this program a try for general system information:

AIDA32

Someone on here said it was the best of the bunch. I tried it and now agree with them.

go to start run type in DXDIAG and hit enter
it will give you what you want to know most of the time. good luck james
