Dear Members,
"SECOND CHANCE" - a restore programme.
Forgive me for asking a second time, - please is there no one who has "Second Chance" by "Powerquest"? The original Version 2.0 was on sale here in London only 2¾ years ago. I paid £50 for the boxed set. Unfortunately, my CD got stuck in my CD-ROM destroying both.
I have all the programme folder files but I seem to be missing the "required Driver" (which I suspect is File "C.DRV") The file is shown but is empty after I downloaded a trial version which I located in the hope of getting my own registered one kick-started. All the trial version did was deactivate what I had left of the programme, but as I say, I do have the Folder files saved but driverless.
I apologise for requesting a software driver on the site, but there appears to be no dedicated software site at present.
Please if anyone can assist me, would they be good enough to e-mail me at vmfree@madasafish.com
Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
Victor Mishiku.

I have telephoned the USA and Holland more than once but the inventors of the programme "Powerquest" are adamant that they cannot help me, even though they are still supplying "Second Chance" (probably a leter version 2.07) to many manufacturers for incorporation into their systems. In the video world, you can get spares for machines sometimes even 10 years later.

Dear Leo,
Thank you very much for the above reference.
I also received an e-mail with lots of infomation and suggestions from Stefan, for which I am most grateful.
I have just written to the company mentioned to order a new CD for "Second Chance" Version 2.0 and I am hoping that they still have one available.
Thank you again for taking the trouble to respond to my enquiry.
Regards,
Victor (sent at 5.44am 8/8/2002)
