um, what would cause this? Not sure what the client did, (they don't know either!) but this is the latest in a series of problems. Have scanned for viruses with the latest dat files, but am not sure where to look from here.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Does your mouse curser work?
Did you try booting in Safe-mode?
Registry problem?
Scan disk?
Defragmenter?
If your curser works can you click on the screen?

The system has 64 mb SD Ram...unless there is a prob with the hardware.. I can F8 and and go to command prompt, when I choose safe mode, I get the same blank (black) screen. No mouse...no start button..just black.

I just brought it home from work and plugged it in, and it is fine here...so I am wondering if something is up with the power at work. I boots every time at home, but at work it does'nt.
