deskjet 693c printer will not print

printer will start to load paper but not print, the paper feed lights start to blink. I tried changing ink catridge, printer cables, tried using different connection ports, switched different printer(612c, 693c), change different paper, changed different OS (2k, xp), reinstalled printer driver. Still nothing will fix the problem. No error message, paper feed lights just blinks after the paper feeds.

I've had some serious and ongoing problems with hp printers from 500 series up to 800 series as they get older.
Ya know what? It's ALWAYS the same problem. They just do not want to pick up a sheet of paper.
Cleaning rollers (the ones you can reach) with alcohol, insuring you use fresh clean paper, cleaning the round bar the print cartridges slide back and forth on have all helped, but not for long.
I'm afraid it's time to get a new printer when your ink is used up. Ink has more value than the printer it sits in.

I agree with SkipCox.
HP is famaous for it's bad rollers. Never seen one fail to fail. They all do eventually.
Always wondered why HP never fixed this as it is a well know problem.
