F2 should do it.
Older Dells used Ctrl Alt Del.

If those don't work, Dell has good docs on their PCs (including older ones) on their website.
Goto www.dell.com and go under support. You'll need to know the model number.

Thanks to everyone. Got into this thing. It was ctrl-alt-delete. ( delete had to be spelled in full).This jammed the keyboard and went to the default F1-F2 option.Solved nothing but i got into the bios.Thanks again.
