I have an Dell latitude CP M166ST, someone thought to be funny and did put a password in my computer. They even did disable my floppy disk boot option in my setup. When I start my computer it immediatly asks for a password, so it is impossible to boot from a disk. I also did disconnect my CMos battery with no results.
A did also read about a master password, is there someone in this World who knows it, or who knows how I can solve my problem.
Please can someone any one HELP ME???????
I tried this password U6999EKU But I did not except. With all my thanks!!!!! Siddig

There are normally more than one batterys inside a lattitude, did you take the keyboard off and remove all that you could see?? That will do cure the power on password problem for sure. Have a look on the dell website for maintenance manuals and see how many cmos batterys there really are. Some friends you have!
