I have studied about delindex here and am prepared to give it a shot. I have 98SE and I see I need to make a small change to the program. But, my Windows Update folder is called in MS DOS: WINDOW~1. My Windows Media Player 7.1 is also called MS DOS: WINDOW~1. With them both called the same thing, how will the program (designed mostly for ME) react if I change those designatd settings from the Program's ~2 to ~1?

Delindex goes on the root of C: (i.e., NOT in a folder)

This is the section affected and thus my question with two MS DOS references on my computer to the new target of WINDOWS~1:
