Comment: I was wondering when you delete a file on windows 98, is there a way to go back and restore it after you empty your recycle bin, and is there a way to see what you deleted after you empty your recylce bin?? thanks.

Reply: (edit)MS says NO. Deleting an item from the Recycle Bin permanently removes it from your computer. Items deleted from the Recycle Bin cannot be restored.

Reply: (edit) you can undelete a file if you have not ran defrag or written to the hdd. there are many programs that will do it. you need to have the program installed the the hdd before you want to recover a file or move the hdd as slave to different comp. you can do a google search (hard disk recovery) for programs.

Reply: (edit)MS says NO MS is full of crap, correct me if I'm wrong please, but I believe that all deleted data goes into "free space" on the drive and is there until it is overwritten, several times.

Reply: (edit)Hi ! I have a program called Norton Systemworks, you will have to buy it, but it's realy worth it. You can revert your whole system back to even two weeks and get everything back. So go on and delete as much as you want with no sweet. Cheers, Diamond.
