rac is correct. Downloading a DLL file from somewhere else is not the best idea. The version of the downloaded file might not match the program that's trying to use it. This may cause some problems.
I agree, but my post was not first. rac offered "the best idea", I just offered another suggestion. Here is another; ddraw.dll is part of DirectX - there are TWO (different) versions of ddraw.dll on your Win98 CD (assuming Win98)!!! One is in: win98\WIN98_31.cab the other is in: cdsample\demos\rarc\arcade1.cab. This last one would likely NOT be the one you want. There are MANY versions, several available through my previous post link (to be helpful)... but I reiterate, I agree with you Jamie and rac - just ANOTHER avenue, that's all.
