I have a PII PC with two USB, one parallel and one serial port – running windows98. I want to transfer some fairly large files from here to a friends laptop which is running windows XP and also has two USB, one parallel and one serial port. I assume the best thing to do is use direct cable connection and use two of the USB ports for the fastest data exchange. Is this the best option, or is there a better way?

Many Thanks

DaveB

You can buy a USB Data Transfer Cable from the following web site for $26.95.
http://www.compusb.com/usbdatbridca.html

It has software and is compatible with Win98/ME/2000/XP.
Hope that helps.
