I have a user that uses Eudora Pro 4.0...he pops his mail from the Exchange server.... All his attachments are automatically saved in the Qualcomm folder, one level above the Eudora folder where the program sits... Eudora was removed in an attempt to fix some other problems...then the Qualcomm folder was deleted and unknowlingly to the tech, so were all the email attachments...approx 200 or more attachments... We set up a test computer similiar to the users computer and put some junk attachments on the test machine and deleted them...we want to find a process to recover the attachments before we make an actual attempt on the users machine... We have searched the HD with Ontrack Easy Recovery Prof...and Ontrack "see's" the Qualcomm folder, but none of the attachments therein...Ontrack does find all other deleted files of many different extensions, but it can't find the files, mostly Word documents and Excel spreadsheets, that were saved as attachments from the Eduora email... We have also hit this with Powerquest Lost and Found, but that won't even "see" the Qualcomm folder where the attachments were located... I have talked on the phone to both Eudora and Ontrack looking for a possible solution, but neither were helplful....Eudora does say that the attachment file is an actual file and not "tagged" in any manner... Short of sending this HD in to a data recover house, does anyone have any other data recovery techniques I can try... Or perhaps indicate possibly why Ontrack can't "see" the attachments... I'm looking for any ideas at all... I'm also posting this on the other forums... Many thanx Steve
