No matter what version of Real Player Basic I'm running, the screen is extremely dark; you can barely make out any images. The only way to get a glimpse of an image is to click on the program bar on the bottom of the screen or re-size the display -- but it's only brighter for a second.

Windows Media Player, on the other hand, works fine. Anybody know what the problem is? Is this another sinister plot by Bill Gates to corner the streaming video market? Thanks for any help!

1). Check for updates or patches on the Real Player site.

2). It probably is your graphics card and the way it is handling certain graphics instructions. Try changing the number of colors...it may be that you have your card set in too high of a color resolution mode for your monitor.

3). Check the refresh rate. You may have it set too high. (I mean your refresh rate of your graphics card for your monitor).
