Hello,i was wondering if anyone could help me with something, recently i installed a hardrive in an older Pentium based 200mgz computer that was setup AT style but had an ATX power connector...i installed everything per the manual including the pinhead..when booting the system there was a loud pop and some unusual power supply activity...when inspecting the system i found that the hardrive had slight scorch marks on the powerboard. i was wondering if there is any way possable to swap powerboards from an exact match hardrive..will the drive boot up? and will the data on the drive still be readable?..any info anyone could give would greatly be appreciated. PS i have a hardrive on order from ebay that is the same and is certified non DOA.
