A friend needs help. He is trying to use the Free Juno internet. He can get the email with no problem but he can not access any web pages. He keeps getting the following error. IE can not load the page.
c:\windows\systems\shdoclc.dll/dnerror.htm
What do we need to do to fix this problem?

I don't know anything about Juno, but this is the default page when the browser can't connect to the web server. I would then say it is a configuration problem.

It sounds to me like your browser is not configured properly. Check to make sure that the internet browser is using the correct dial-up connection and not your old one make sure it's using Juno. Secondly make sure you do not have Proxy enabled which will cause the page not to display. All these settings are in the Intenet Options or Internet icon in the control panel check go to the connection tab and make sure anything that says proxy is not checked which is under the LAN settings button and make sure Juno is your default dial-up connection used with the browser it will say JUNO (default) beside it. Make sure always dial my default connection is selected. This is all assuming you are using internet explorer 5 or newer.

If you are using win98 try running the system file checker to see if the shdoclc.dll file is corrupt.

The file is part of IE 5.oe IE 5.55. Use the Explorer repair function Or extract it from cab 41 Win 98 2nd edition.
