I've noticed that different companies place their icons withing the "general" tab of the SYSTEM PROPERTIES in Windows95. I'd like to change the icons to "my own....." please someone tell me HOW??????????

Whatever Windows bitmap (BMP) file called OEMLOGO.BMP in the c:\windows\system directory will be displayed where you have asked. You may want to back up the original one before you replace it with a new one.
Hope this helps

Suggest backing up registry. Run Regedit. Select Export Registry File and put it where you will remember. Goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE> Software> Microsoft> Windows> CurrentVersion. Double-click in right field on RegisteredOrganization change Value Entry. Then look for Windows/System/Oeminfo.ini and Oemlogo.bmp. Edit text in .ini file, do not change quotation marks and equal signs. Modify .bmp or try changing with your own. HAPPY HACKIN !!

Create the oemlogo.ini file with notepad or another textprogram.
Create the oemlogo.bmp with paint.
Both files go in your windows\system map.
Look at http://www.winpro.com.sg/best_win95_98_tips.html for contents of files
