I cannot get ctrl alt del to function. After wanting a cable mocem for some months on end I finally decided to splurge and the only firewall or I got supposedly came with Optimum online. I am in NYC by the way. My computer got infected so ran te Norton 2002 antivirus. I now have a sygate firewall and spybot. The problem is ctrl alt del does not work!!!!!! I cannot make a boot disk either. Once I connect to the internet the computer freezes. These crashes happen all the time but never did before I got the cable modem. I have 1 60 GB hard drive that has 30 GB of free space. How can I isolate the problem and ix it. Is it the system.ini file. HELP!

It sounds as your system is infected norton virus checker is fine so is the firewall but these will not give you full protection. Once your are infected it is hard to get rid of the virus. There is only one way you can be 99 percent sure is to format your hard drive. not a very pleasant task and not one to be taken if your not sure how.
