cshook.vxd file missing

i had been geeting this error- "cshook.vxd is missing. your system.ini file points to this file which is missing"
i kept restarting my computer and finally i managed to start it up. But now the icons and all have a very unfinished look.

CSHOOK.VXD is part of Norton Utilities Clean Sweep. Did you recently try and uninstall Clean Sweep or any other programs?

Hi shhalini, i think u go start-run than type regedit than go edit menu & click find &type your missing file name & than click find next if u get file press del key & delete this address line I sure 95% your problem is solve
