Hi, I have:
PIII 800MHz
128MB RAM
*PC PARTNER MOTHERBOARDon bootup, I get the following error:
BIOS CHECKSUM ERROR
DETECTING FLOPPY MEDIA DRIVE A...Now, after a year has been pased on my system, I call the computer store that I bought my computer from, and tells me that its the motherboards fault.
I'm screwed now. What can I do? I'll email the manufacture but I won't expect much from them.
It was suggested to go ahead and buy a new PIII motherboard "TUV4X".
I've done flashing and all that, but it does not work..

You could try to reset the bios by removing the battery from the mb for about 10 minutes and then put it back and start pc again.

Could be a non-bootable floppy is in the A: drive or the floppy drive has gone bad.
They are cheap and easy to replace.Bryan

I have had this problem when I installed a new 1.4 ghz amd processor and the system did not recognize the 133 fsb, I assume because of the memory. I changed it to 100 and did not have the problem. I then eased the fsb up until I got to 125. After that it started giving errors like you have. Check in the bios to see if this could be your problem.
I plan to have my memory checked someway to see if it is bad. Mine is Crucial cas2 133 and should work at 133.
