My platform is Intel Celeron 500, 128 Mbyte RAM, Matrox Millennium G400 dual head 32 Mbyte, hard drives of 6 Gbyte - I've tried everything but the soundcard doesn't work at all - Vibra 128 is a PCI crad

Hello,
Is this a new card - never installed before? If this is a new install, maybe a jumper on the mother board that is set to disable the soundcard. Post a reply stating whether a new card or not.

Hi,
thank you for your reply but I've solved the problem. Beside Vibra I have also Aver Media TV and FM, USR Sportster modem and a SCSI. The problem was with the mouse. Instead of connecting to COM port directly, I used PS/2 mouse connector.

Hi,

I am having a PC for the past 2 yrs.I purchased the Creative kit,CD-ROM+2 8watts speakers+ 16 Creative audio card.Recently I replaced the 16bit Creative card with Creative Vibra 128.I installed Windows 98 as the operating system. But after installation I got a window message as follows
"The SBPCI interrupt has been routed incorrectly by the system.Audio PCI inactive.Use Automatic settings in theDevice Manager".
I am getting this message even after selecting automatic settings in the Device Manager. In the Vibra 128 properties of the Device Manager,I get the followinig information.
Version no: 06
(code 10).
Device is not working properly.
All the jumper settings are proper.

Can anyone please help me out in this matter,as I need to give a demonstration of my project on Thursday, 8/11/2001,which involves an application for playing the sound.

Hoping for an early reply.
thanks
Sujai
