creative sound card AWE64(no sound)

my mother board is GA-6VX7B-4X
its has a build in VIA sound.

when i installed my creative sound card, everything seems fine. dirvers are found. but, when i plug my speaks to it. no sound is coming out.

i try to find where the problem is, but just wont work.

can anyone suggest anything?

Does the sound card show up fine in device manager? you may have to disable the onboard sound
