Creative DVD Encore 5X with Diamond Viper V550 Conflict
I bought a Creative DVD Encore 5x last week and tried to get it to run on my Pentium II-333, 256 MB Ram, Diamond Viper V550 16 mb AGP... When i start to listen to a movie on a DVD, i can only watch it for about 4 to 5 minutes, after that it freezes, i tried it with the program that comes with the dvd drive, the program that came with my diamond viper (Zoran SoftDVD), and with Xing DVDPlayer... it always does the same (freezes of reboots)... can somone help me out? 'cause my video card kicks asses, and the only way i got the dvd drive to work, was to change my video card to a ATI All in Wonder PRO 4 mb. plz help me out !! =o)
Howdy, Have you tried contacting Creative Labs and Diamond to see if they have a answer for the problem? That is your best shot.

Looks like we have encountered the same problem. The sollution to your problem is PowerDVD or upgrade your system with Windows 98 Second Edition! Good luck

I have almost the same problem with a Viper 2. I can get to the menu part and then it freezes the entire comp. I try hitting Alt-ctrl-del. and nothing happens. The dvd is possesed!!!! Back satan!!!
