Actually, this is a hardware question. And you already know what the problem is - the CPU is overheating. The CPU is a chip that fits in a socket in the motherboard, it's also known as the processor. It is NOT the tower & everything in it! You probably knocked something loose (probably the HSF, aka heatsink/fan, aka CPU cooler) while you were messing around inside the case.
