ok i put a xtra hard drive 512 ram xtra n after 3 days
when i turn on the pc
i have a black screen
i hear a noise when start like a cop from paris
than shutdown any answers ><

You have posted on the W95/98 forum but it seems ytou have XP. Is this a dual boot?

Actually, this is a hardware question. And you already know what the problem is - the CPU is overheating. The CPU is a chip that fits in a socket in the motherboard, it's also known as the processor. It is NOT the tower & everything in it!

You probably knocked something loose (probably the HSF, aka heatsink/fan, aka CPU cooler) while you were messing around inside the case.
