Original Pentium went to either 166 or 200, then came the Pentium IIs which started at 233. Go to a swap meet and pick up an old 400/500 machine for $50/75. Re-use your monitor.

You'd be lucky to gain 20-30Mhz. No need to risk possible damage to a good old machine like this. OtheHill gives good advice and you can keep or pass on the 166.
