I bought two new NIC card. One of the computer are connecting to the Cable Modem. I connected both computers together by using Hub. After I did all the network configuration, my computer could see the Cable Modem computer name but the computer with Cable Modam couldn't see my computer name. I'll checked everything including protocol and file and printer sharing. The protocol that I used was NetBeui and IPX/SPX. The operating system that I used was Windows 98.

Anyone suggestion?

Thank you

Network,
I had the same problem when I set my PCs at home up on a 10BaseT network. I no longer have that configuration, so Im going on memory :-)
In your Control Panel, Network Icon, highlight the NetBeui Protocol. Click Properties, then the Advanced tab. Under the properties list, there is an entry like MasterName or HostNames or something similar. One of the PCs on the network has to be the Master list keeper. I hope this will be clear when you are looking at the Properties pick list, so you'll see what I'm saying.

Network,
Sorry, wrong protocol!! Highlight the File and Print sharing entry (@ Network Icon, Control Panel), select properties. On the advanced tab, you should see an entry labelled "Browse Master" -- the value defaults to automatic I believe. Set one of your PCs to "Enabled", reboot both, and see if you can see your PCs now

Do you have the same workgroup name for both computers?

You need to add tcp/ip also to the protocals.
Go into the tcp/ip properties and specify an IP address. e.g. 198.138.255.111 on the top line and 255.255.255.0 on the bottom line.
So for each computer change the numbers a little:
For computer 1 use 198.138.255.111
255.255.255.0
For computer 2 use 198.138.255.112
255.255.255.0
For computer 3 use 198.138.255.113 and so on!
Also if the computers do not show up in the network neighborhood, go find computer in the start menu and type in the computers name.
Also the workgroup should be the same on all machines, but the computer names should be different!!!!!
Contact me if it works & contact me if it does not and i'll try and help you further.
