I have a P.C with Win. 98, I ran a Virus scan (Norton Sys 2000), and it gave me the message: "startup.exe and command.com" are missing or corrupted"; it did not give me any ideas on how to repair them or replace them, any help on where can I get this files ?

Are you able to boot your computer up normally into Win 98? You need to tell us more.

O.K here it is:
I bought Norton SystemWorks2000, the box comes with 3 Emergency disks, according to the book I can check my P.C for any Viruses before I do the installation by booting up from disk#1 wich gives me a menu from which I can select "Antivirus",(all this from the DOS prompt), after it scanned the C:\ drive (8 min maybe)I received the message :command.com file is missing or corrupt (and then on the line below) startup.exe is missing or corrupt; after that it prompted me to my A:\ drive and that was it, I reestarted the P.C and went on with my business. The reason I ran the test was because mu P.C was acting "weird"(slow performance, unknown files placed in "My Documents" folders, mouse pointer acting strange, and too many freezing stages)
So.......Poltergeist or just a piece of S.... system?

Copy command.com from your startup disk to C:\ and see if it is still corrupt?
