This is in response to on older posting for help on this problem found at the URL below. http://www.computing.net/windows95/wwwboard/forum/160149.html If you disable the mmkeybd.exe in MSCONFIG it will disable the multimedia keys from functioning. The correct way to solve the problem is from the information I found from research and trial and error. Osd in Ctrl Alt Del Netropa’s OnScreen Display System Tray icon which comes installed on a number of blue-chip manufacturers’ PCs, such as DELL, Compaq, HP, IBM, Acer. etc... If you right-click on the icon you can change the colour or font of your display, and you can also modify other display settings. Recommendation : This icon simply adds to the clutter of the system tray - it adds nothing that you cannot do by going into the Display Settings in the Control Panel. Worse, OSD interferes with games which change the volume during the game, it has significant compatibility problems with some graphics drivers, and it causes some screen savers to crash. Delete immediately in Startup Manager. My solution was the information below!!!!! How to stop it from appearing in Ctrl Alt Del Go into C:\Program Files\Netropa\OnScreenDisplay and either Cut and paste the folder “On Screen Display” to a new location or delete the folder this is in Win98. In WinME you will need to Do a Ctrl Alt Del and End the Task on Osd and close then either Rename or delete the Osd.exe File. In WinXP you will need to End the Task and then Delete the Osd.exe file. You may want to save a copy to disk first.
