For the past five years I have used a Mac
(the same Mac!) and am now
seriously considering upgrading AND
converting to PC.
My question is this: with a change in
software/drivers and cables should I
be able to use the same peripherals I now
have (EasyPhoto snapshot scanner,
Umax S-6E scanner, Syquest EZ-Drive and Epson
Stylus Color printer)?

I switched from a mac to pc two years ago. (Wished I'd done it sooner!!!)
Anyhow, many peripherals are interchangable (Modems, printers, scanners, etc) but it all depends on the cabling. Older Macs used those small round connectors (i dont know the official tech name) and I have yet to find adapters to make them work/adapt to pc serial and parallel ports. In short...it's possible, but depends more on cables than the peripherals themselves. Look at the peripheral web sites for more info and drivers

just for the record, those small round Mac connectors are ADB (Apple Desktop Bus) connectors. also, alot of Macs had SCSI ports for printers and stuff.

Can I get my Apple Personal Laser Writer 300 with the ADB interface to convert to PC's parallel port interface? It is a great printer and so few hours. I think it's an HP, so it's most likly worth it. If anyone knows please e-mail me and let me know.
Thanks and regards,
Dennis
