Converting *.com/*.bat to *.exe

I want to make a *.exe from a *.bat... I already made a *.com from it with the BAT2COM program and under W2K you can rename a *.com to *.exe, but under Win9X you get a message, that it isn't a valid Win32 app... Anyone that can help???

Probably the same place you got the BAT2COM prog from has a BAT2EXE prog.
