How would someone convert a document in Notepad.txt to a .XLS sreadsheet?

Fire up Excel, go to File, open, and where it says Files of Type, choose Text Files. It will then ask how you want it formated. Just follow the prompts and you should be all set. Then you can save it as an xls file
