the subject says it all can it be done?? and if yes how?? (input will be a printer port)

Don't understand "input will be a printer port". If you just want to mount a floppy drive outside the box, you'll need to run the power cable and signal cable out to it.

I want too use a old internal as a external on a old notebook and the connection will be the printer port
