Control panel can't find rundll.exe

Comment:
When I click any icon in Control Panel, the message, "Cannot find the file 'C:\WINDOWS\rundll.exe' (or one of its components)" appears. I've checked, and rundll.exe is still there in C:\WINDOWS\.

I've had that same problem when either rundll.exe and/or rundll32.exe became corrupt. Would suggest replacing both. If you have your original disk, you can do it using "SFC". If the're in a folder called C:\windows\options\cabs. Ditto, you can still use "SFC" to replace them. Reboot after replacing. Jack...

Thanks. I followed your advice, and it seems to have fixed the problem. I can now access the items in Control Panel.
