Conservative Swap trick?

OK, now I'm confused...I have Win98SE and 128MB RAM. Following all the advice I've read on the net about vcache settings and swap file settings, I have my vcache set at 8MB min and 16 MB max, and my swap file is set to a fixed 192MB. Now I read this trick about Conservative Swap file setting in System.ini....
http://members.aol.com/axcel216/98-4.htm#COSW
...so does this mean I should let Windows determine my vcache and swap file sizes and then just apply this ConservativeSwap trick to System.ini? Or do I still use my own settings, but still apply the System.ini trick? I don't want my swap to fragment, so I still think setting a fixed size is a good idea, but what about vcache? I'd like some opinions on how some of you would configure a machine which has 128MB RAM. Thanks.
(I hope this message doesn't get archived out as soon as I post it...)

Hey this is 10 months old but just in case somebody drops in here from a search engine like I did...

I am setting up an audio recording machine in my home studio. I plan on controling size to 196MB fixed cache and using ConservativeSwapfileUsage=1 like the article suggests. There is no reason not to do both.
