Comment:

I have an emachine loaded with 98. I installed peachtree complete accounting and I got a btrieve error. The error says: "Max Communication Buffer Size of 16384 is < 64512. Please Correct and Restart."

I started to think maybe it was referring to the buffer limit in config.sys. Does anyone know the limit on buffer size in config.sys? I have it set for 30 right now.

Thanks in advance

No, the buffers in config.sys are file buffers.

Here's what Peachtree says in their FAQ

They advise a registry edit.

jboy,

My hat goes off to you!! How in the heck did you find that site!! I have been looking for an answer for about a week now. And of course peachtree charges for their support, so I couldn't go there. But thanks though, you saved me a lot of time.
