What is the cookie used by computing.net? I clean my cookie file regularly and I must delete the one for computing.net every time.

Hi

Here are my two if they are any help:

derek surname@computing(1).txt
(9x site, but I found it also retains my "image off" preference in My Computing Net).

derek surname@cgi-bin(2).txt
(My Computing Net login.)

I use Window Washer and have told it to retain them.

Happy Christmas
Derek

I found three cookies related to Computing.Net on my system at present time, and I recently cleaned all my cookies too.

The cookies I found are:
Your windows loginname@cgi-bin[1].txt
Your windows loginname@cgi-bin[3].txt
Your windows loginname@www.computing[1].txt
These files are located in the "Cookies" folder.

In the "Temporary Internet Files" folder there are some other Computing.Net related files, don't know what those are ....yet.

Hope it's of any help.

Greetz from The Netherlands,
The Count

I should have added in #1 that (for my own reasons) I enter this site without using the "www."

I daresay my cookies would have that in front of "computing" if I entered by using it.

Hi Old Sailor,
If you remove the cookie as I had been doing,
you will have problems accessing this website. Sweep most of thr clutter from your hd, but, do not touch the site cookie,
hth
