Hi. I know to change your screen resolution, you use Start>settings>controlpanel/settings/ to change the screen resolution, but when i try to vchange the resolution, the tab wont move and its stuck on 640x480. whats wrong?

Either your monitor is only capable of that resolution or the monitor that windows thinks you have is only capable of 640 x 480. Make sure the monitor is correct in control panel-display-settings. If it's not then go on to advanced-monitor-change and change your monitor.

I think Dave meant to say adapter. How much video memory does your adapter have and how many colors are you currently running? Also make sure you have the right video driver and it's configured correctly.

I had the same problem a minute ago. I went into display properties, settings, advanced, adapter tab, and change button. I had it search all options and somewhere it found a better adapter. Even though i didnt have the disk for it and kept pressing cancel for every file, it still went through the whole process and started in a smaller resolution at 256 colors, then rebooted and went back and changed to true font. It looks normal again.
