This seems weird, but my computer will lock up, and the screen will do one of two things. 1) The information will seem to "scroll" down the screen quickly, causing a blurry image of what I was looking at
2) The page will "shift" from the previous page and back to the link I just opened.
I am running an AMD K-6 with 64 Meg Ram and an ASUS P5A motherboard. I have used two different video cards - a diamond viper and currently SB Live!. I want to say that this is a video problem, for the simple fact that it only seems to happen when I am using heavy graphics. Only VERY seldom does it "lock" on a text site or site like this forum. Previous to this, I surfed to a site to download some wallpaper, and it freaked out less than 2 minutes into being on the site. I had not even started downloading anything. I have removed several programs, including flyswat from my computer and nothing has helped. I have also tried purging my system of graphics I downloaded - no luck. Sorry to be long-winded, but this is really aggravating! If anyone has any suggestions, PLEASE HELP ME!!! ALso, I am using a DSL connection, and connecting thru a router. I am on a network, but not the host machine. THanks!!

Hello,
The problem only occurs when you download? What OS are you using and which browser? Try connecting while in safe mode if using Windows and see what the graphics do (they will not be pretty in safe mode) If ok then reinstall the drivers for one video card making sure they are the latest. Also make sure you have the latest version of DirectX if using Windows. If that dont work then try reinstalling your internet browser.
