Pen.11 350 mz, loads of mem. Computer locks up, have to shut it off and turn it back on to get it going, even then it sometimes does not come back up the first time, takes more than one try, sometimes it is fine for a few days other times it locks up every half hour or so. Have used spybot to get rid of all problems as they call them, have run the windows tools, scan disk, defrag, ran my virus scan, just ran sfc, got a note saying setupx.dll may be corrupted. I suppose this is a problem also but would it be the fix of my overall problem of locking up????? I should add that this happens when I am on the net, and it is not a recent thing. Been going on a long while. i checked others posts, didn't see any answers that looked like they would help me Thanks for any help.

Am I right assuming this happend ONLY when you are on the net? Do you have dial up or broadband? dial up problems occur usually when people try to phone you.

chuck bellinger, Setupx.dll, is a windows/system file...Have you tried restoring it from the system properties dialog window?? Peace beansoup
