Computer freezes at logo screen

Hope someone can help me. I am working On this Gateway E-4200 PC,and the PC just won't finish loading. It freezes up at the win logo screen. Now If I go to safe mode and restart then it will work fine. It only freezes at the first cold boot. I have checked everything and changed just about everything. Any Ideas Anyone.. thanks for any help.

One possibility is it is looking for network settings. Under these circumstances a computer may appear to hang for about five minutes before continuing to load.
If you don't intent to network the computer, try disabling the network card in device manager or even bios if it's built in.

I have a gateway e4200.It is possible your cpu is overheating.

Problem found...
it was the video drivers,that was messing up everything. Gateway uses ATI and nVidia cards,and they are not the best.. Anyway if you are using a Gateway and your computer freezes up at the logo screen then it is your Video drivers that is doing it. I was able to find the right driver and now it works fine..
