After my computer had a crash the sound isn't working right. Also my hardware won't detect new hardware, it keeps saying detcrash.Log during detection.

if your computer 'crashed' i suppose that means you had to reinstall windows, and thus there should be no problem with hardware detection unless: 1. you have hardware problems or 2. you have bad definitions made of IRQs and, or I/Os.
go to device manager and check those definitions or better yet - go to Registry Editor and fix them. but don't use the editor unless you have some experience in using it and know exactly what you are doin'.
